New York artist Kate Cusack is nationally known for her clever and innovative contemporary jewelry made out of zippers. She finds the zipper’s combination of rigid metal teeth and flexible fabric to be the perfect medium in which to create whimsical abstract shapes for brooches and neckpieces. She loves transforming ordinary materials into exceptional pieces of wearable art that create interest and comments. Cusack’s work is exhibited in galleries across the US.
